This is another enchanting recording, short yet effective, continuing the wistful aura felt from "Withered Caprinae." Magpie has a unique way of conjuring forth remote landscapes and musical locales that feel simultaneously familiar, nostalgic, yet unexplored & a bit alien. There's always a slight foreboding edge to these pieces that balances them nicely. Glad to hear more artists entranced by the unique landscapes and culture of the Western 'States.
